Prateek Yadav Background

Early Life Story

Prateek Yadav was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, into one of India’s most influential political families. Despite belonging to the powerful Yadav political dynasty, much of his childhood remained away from public attention.

For several years, his identity was kept largely private. Reports suggest that his father publicly acknowledged his relationship with Prateek and his mother, Sadhna Gupta, in the early 2000s. This brought him into the public spotlight for the first time.

During his childhood, Prateek faced serious health problems. At around 11 years old, he reportedly suffered from pneumonia, and treatment-related medications caused major weight gain. At one stage, his weight crossed 100 kilograms. This difficult phase later became one of the biggest motivations behind his transformation into a fitness enthusiast and bodybuilder.

Family Background

Prateek belonged to the family of late politician Mulayam Singh Yadav, who founded the Samajwadi Party and served multiple times as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

His mother, Sadhna Gupta, remained an important part of his life until her death in 2022. Prateek was also closely connected to his half-brother Akhilesh Yadav, although he stayed away from political activities.

In December 2011, he married Aparna Yadav in a high-profile ceremony attended by several political and film personalities. The couple later had daughters together.
