After school, he cleared one of India’s most competitive engineering entrance exams to get into IIT Kanpur. He was drawn to drama, debate, and student activities alongside his studies. Ashutosh Ranka’s Professional Career

Ashutosh Ranka started as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company in Mumbai in 2017. He later became an Associate Fellow at the Delhi Legislative Assembly in 2019. During this time, he worked with political teams and learned how governance works from the inside. He also consulted for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, while completing his degree at LSE.

He rejoined McKinsey as a Senior Associate in 2022 and stayed until 2024. During this period, he was part of the Aam Aadmi Party’s national media and social media teams. He handled data analysis and communication strategy behind the scenes. He was later made AAP’s Intellectual Wing Secretary in Rajasthan in December 2025.

In 2025, he returned to India and launched Parivartan, a citizen-led platform for political and social reforms in Rajasthan. He was named National Spokesperson of the Cockroach Janta Party which is founded by Abhijeet Dipke in June 2026. He led media briefings and protest strategy during the 36-day Jantar Mantar demonstrations over NEET exam irregularities. He represented the student movement in talks with BJP chief J.P. Nadda and helped secure demands including compensation for victims’ families and withdrawal of FIRs against protesters.
