Early Life

Anna Paulina Luna was born in Santa Ana, California, on May 6, 1989. She grew up in a challenging household, raised mainly by her single mother, Monica Todd. Her father, George Mayerhofer, of Mexican-German descent, battled drug addiction and was often in and out of prison.

Due to instability at home, she attended more than six different high schools across Los Angeles. She has openly spoken about living with a “broken home mentality” and depending on welfare during her childhood. In a 2023 interview, Luna shared that these early struggles shaped her determination to fight for others.

At the age of 19, she joined the U.S. Air Force, seeking discipline and stability in her life.
