Anna Paulina Luna, born Anna Paulina Mayerhofer, is an American politician, Air Force veteran, and author. She has been serving as the U.S. Representative for Florida’s 13th congressional district since 2023. Born on May 6, 1989, in Santa Ana, California, she is 36 years old in 2025.
She is the first Mexican-American woman ever elected to Congress from Florida. A U.S. Air Force veteran (2009–2014), she later became active in conservative politics, endorsed by former President Donald Trump. Luna is known for her strong stands on transparency, foreign affairs, and limiting insider trading in Congress. She also serves on the House Foreign Affairs and Oversight committees.
Outside politics, she is a published author, a former model, and the wife of decorated Air Force veteran Andrew Gamberzky. Together, they are raising their young son in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Early Life
Anna Paulina Luna was born in Santa Ana, California, on May 6, 1989. She grew up in a challenging household, raised mainly by her single mother, Monica Todd. Her father, George Mayerhofer, of Mexican-German descent, battled drug addiction and was often in and out of prison.
Due to instability at home, she attended more than six different high schools across Los Angeles. She has openly spoken about living with a “broken home mentality” and depending on welfare during her childhood. In a 2023 interview, Luna shared that these early struggles shaped her determination to fight for others.
At the age of 19, she joined the U.S. Air Force, seeking discipline and stability in her life.
