Early Life

Khalil was born in Los Angeles, where tragedy struck early—his father, Khalil Rountree Sr., a tour manager for Boyz II Men and bodyguard for Muhammad Ali, was murdered in a robbery when Khalil was just two. Raised by his single mother in a cramped apartment, he faced poverty, depression, and substance abuse, weighing over 300 pounds by the age of 20.

His turning point came after watching The Ultimate Fighter. He joined a Muay Thai gym in Las Vegas and lost over 100 pounds in 11 months, discovering both discipline and purpose.
