Alberto Mendoza was born in Miami, Florida. He grew up in a family that loves football. His older brother, Fernando, also plays quarterback and became very successful in college football.
From a young age, Alberto trained with his brother. This helped him learn the game quickly and understand football better than most players his age.

Alberto went to Christopher Columbus High School in Miami. After his brother graduated, Alberto became the starting quarterback.
