Early Life

Moriah was raised in a deeply religious home with nine siblings, homeschooled and kept away from mainstream culture. The family lived on a 55-acre farm, with no TV, smartphones, or sugary snacks allowed.

Her younger brother Joshua died in a tragic accident in 2008, which deeply impacted the entire family. Moriah, however, always questioned the family’s strict rules. She started dyeing her hair, wearing bold clothes, and using social media—becoming the first of the Plath children to publicly rebel.

She grew especially close to her brother Ethan and his wife Olivia Plath, who supported her journey toward independence. Moriah eventually left home in 2021, moving to Tampa, Florida to explore life on her own.
