He rose to fame with songs like Kali Jawande Di and Muqabla, winning gold medals in folk singing and gaining recognition across Punjab and beyond. Born into a disciplined Jat Sikh family with Punjab Police ties, Rajvir initially prepared for a career in law enforcement before shifting to music and films.

In September 2025, his life took a tragic turn when he suffered a serious motorcycle accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, leaving him critically injured and hospitalized in Mohali.

Rajvir Jawanda Early Life

Rajvir Jawanda was born on June 20, 1990, in village Pona near Jagraon in Ludhiana district, Punjab. His father, Karam Singh Jawanda, served in the Punjab Police, while his mother, Paramjeet Kaur, managed the household. Growing up as the eldest child with one younger sister, Rajvir was influenced by Punjabi folk culture and legends like Gurdas Maan and Kuldeep Manak.

During his schooling at Sanmati Vimal Jain School in Jagraon, Rajvir discovered his love for music. Under the guidance of his guru, Lalli Khan, he trained in singing and also played the tumbi. His early achievements in youth festivals, where he won several medals, motivated him to pursue music seriously.

Rajvir completed his schooling in Jagraon before studying at DAV College, Jalandhar. Later, he pursued his post-graduation at Punjabi University, Patiala, where he connected with artists like Kanwar Grewal, Kulwinder Billa, and Jovan Sandhu.

Interestingly, Rajvir also cleared the Punjab Police exam and underwent one year of training, but his passion for music eventually made him choose a different path.

Rajvir belongs to a disciplined and supportive Jat Sikh family. His father, Karam Singh Jawanda, worked in the Punjab Police, and his mother, Paramjeet Kaur, provided a nurturing environment at home. He has a younger sister whose name remains private.

Rajvir is unmarried and has kept his personal relationships away from the public eye, dedicating most of his life to his music career and family responsibilities.

Rajvir’s professional singing career began in 2016 with his debut track Kali Jawande Di, written by lyricist Kunda Dhaliwal. The song became a huge success and introduced his unique voice to Punjabi music fans. His follow-up hit Muqabla further cemented his popularity.

During his college years, Rajvir won two gold medals in folk singing and collected over 11 trophies in youth festivals, showing his natural talent for performance.

Apart from singing, he has acted in Punjabi films and done modeling projects, expanding his reach in the entertainment industry.

Unfortunately, on September 27, 2025, Rajvir met with a serious motorcycle accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, which left him with a head injury and cardiac arrest. He was airlifted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, where he remains under treatment.
