Rajvir Jawanda was born on June 20, 1990, in village Pona near Jagraon in Ludhiana district, Punjab. His father, Karam Singh Jawanda, served in the Punjab Police, while his mother, Paramjeet Kaur, managed the household. Growing up as the eldest child with one younger sister, Rajvir was influenced by Punjabi folk culture and legends like Gurdas Maan and Kuldeep Manak.

During his schooling at Sanmati Vimal Jain School in Jagraon, Rajvir discovered his love for music. Under the guidance of his guru, Lalli Khan, he trained in singing and also played the tumbi. His early achievements in youth festivals, where he won several medals, motivated him to pursue music seriously.
